Adam’s role as a Director of the AMDRAS Board includes serving on our Standards, Application and Assessment, and Promotion and Marketing Committees. As a barrister, solicitor, and an AMDRAS-accredited mediator, he brings extensive knowledge and experience to the AMDRAS board, alongside a strong skillset in commercial dispute resolution, professional standards, and alternative dispute resolution practices.

Adam was formerly a partner in a successful boutique commercial law firm and has represented clients in significant commercial disputes across Australia. He has managed arbitrations and large commercial litigation in the Federal and Supreme Courts, and appeared as counsel in trials and appeals. He also brings diverse industry experience to his role with AMDRAS, having worked extensively in private legal practice and alternative dispute resolution, with a focus on construction, intellectual property, professional services, and indemnity insurance disputes.

In addition to his legal background, Adam holds a tertiary qualification in architecture, complementing his expertise in construction, engineering, and technology disputes. He is a graded arbitrator with Resolution Institute and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He has contributed to various industry initiatives, including serving on the Resolution Institute’s Commercial Facilitative Subcommittee and South Australian State Committee, as well as the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the Law Society of South Australia.

For many years, Adam has been a strong advocate for the integration of mediation and arbitration within court systems, and often presents seminars on the benefits of non-litigious forms of dispute resolution for specific industries such as construction, technology, and insurance.
