Kirsten Eades is a highly skilled executive leader and proven change agent, bringing a diverse skillset and extensive governance experience to the AMDRAS Board.

Kirsten was appointed as an AMDRAS Director in 2023, and has been a practising mediator for more than 24 years. She has also held Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner certification for the past 5.

Kirsten’s early career background includes working in Intake roles, Youth Justice Conferencing, Restorative Justice, and as a Training Manager in mediation and dispute resolution. In these roles she was regularly responsible for training, assessing and appointing Mediators throughout Qld.

In addition to her current role as Executive Director –Community Justice Services for the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (QLD), Kirsten is a committee member of several committees, with a particular focus on supporting Women’s Rights, First Nations Peoples, and Domestic and Family Violence victims.

Kirsten is passionate about enabling people in dispute to take control of their conflict and learn more about communication, and is motivated by  empowering parties to find positive outcomes that work for them.  Kirsten was interested in joining the Board to bring a non-legal approach to mediator standards to ensure balance in the community mediation sector.
